LONDON, ON – Renix is proud to announce it has received an Honourable Mention at the Canadian Heat of Water Dragons 2025, hosted by the Future Water Association in collaboration with the High Commission of Canada. This recognition underscores the growing international interest in Renix’s advanced ion exchange platform and its potential to support sustainable, cost-effective nutrient treatment for municipal water systems.
Held on May 28th, 2025, the Canadian Heat is part of the Water Dragons 2025 series, designed to give companies a unique opportunity to showcase breakthrough water technologies that address pressing industry and environmental challenges.
“Receiving an Honourable Mention is a significant milestone for Renix,” said Rob Haas, Director of Engineering and Project Delivery. “It reflects not only the credibility of our technology but also the alignment between our solution and the needs of UK water utilities for innovative, sustainable, water efficient treatment outcomes.”
The UK water sector is facing increasing pressure to meet tightening nitrate regulations in drinking water and to reduce nutrient discharges from wastewater treatment works to protect sensitive ecosystems. Renix’s scalable solution offers a low-chemical, low-waste, small footprint alternative to traditional treatment methods, aligning with regulatory goals while delivering operational and environmental benefits.
